November 29, 2022

On November 19, 2022, the International Office of the “Ala-Too” International University organized an excursion for foreign teachers at the National Historical Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic.

There are many amazingly beautiful places and unique attractions in Kyrgyzstan. This attracts considerable attention of foreign guests of the republic. In this regard, foreign teachers of the AIU visited the National Historical Museum, which has one of the largest expositions in Central Asia. Many of its collections are considered the heritage of all mankind and are included in the lists of especially valuable cultural heritage, which is why tourists pay special attention to them. The visitors of this museum had a great opportunity to trace the path of the Kyrgyz nation from its inception to the present, to see the monuments of the past and unique exhibits of considerable interest to researchers.

Senior lecturer of the Department of Linguistics and Candidate of Philological Sciences Alimzhan Zakirov was a wonderful guide on a journey into Kyrgyz history, who told every moment in detail, and also answered every question of his colleagues.

“It was very interesting to look at traditional textiles made of felt, leather and wool. I really liked the folk costumes, Kyrgyz embroidery and accessories for harnessing horses. I want to thank the staff of the international office for organizing a wonderful trip to the museum” said Imtyaz Gulbarga, a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science of the AIU.

“A unique modern architectural structure with a fairly extensive collection. After getting acquainted with the entire history, culture and ethnography of the Kyrgyz people, you understand that Kyrgyzstan is a spiritually rich country” added Murray Eldred, lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the AIU.

We express our gratitude to the AIU Office of International Relations for organizing an interesting excursion for foreign teachers!
